Hello friends,
It's been a long and busy summer, and my days were filled with gardening, canning, volunteering, family, etc. I haven't had much time for blogging. One of the most important things that happened this summer is my decision to enter the ministry. For my close friends, this is no surprise. But that journey is better left for another blog.
What I'm all about today is an event. This class will be led by the Rev. Judy Dye, who has a long list of
credentialing that makes her an excellent guide through this discipline
experience. I'm putting this out on this blog because of my high volume of readership to help promote this great opportunity. For those of you in the local Pennsylvania area where I am, this event will be held at Faith Community United Methodist Church at 341 Jefferson St., Rochester PA 15074. I will be at this series, and would hope to see some of my other seeking Christian friends there.
This is not a Bible study, and even though Judy Dye and I are both United Methodists, this is a cross-denomination event if
you would like to pass the info on to your friends in this area as well. It
is titled Seeking Wisdom and is "a ten-week experiential faith
journey utilizing a variety of historic Christian spiritual practices. Christian theologians, faith writers and spiritual
guides will aid us in growing a closer relationship to the goodness of the
Great I Am." Each person is encouraged to
enrich their existing practices with those presented, to enhance their daily
Rule (spiritual discipline).
